Quick answer

A Bali furniture shipping quote arrives within 24 business hours and covers the whole door-to-door journey: pickup, ISPM-15 crating, LCL freight and delivery. Indicative LCL runs USD 350–450 per CBM to Australia and USD 400–550 to the USA or EU as of 2026.

What is in the number

All-inclusive versus “cheap”

What a genuine door-to-door figure includes, and what budget quotes quietly leave out.

Showroom pickup (Ubud, Seminyak, Canggu, Kerobokan) Included Charged later per stop
ISPM-15 heat-treated crating Included, with the compliance mark Billed as “special packing”
Consolidation at a Denpasar-area warehouse Included Storage fees added
LCL sea freight to destination port Included The only thing quoted
Destination arrival, handling and delivery Included Left for you to arrange
Documentation guidance Included Not offered

All-inclusive

What a transparent quote covers

An all-inclusive quote prices the full chain, not one leg. A cheap-looking port-to-port rate leaves you arranging crating, trucking and customs at both ends — usually at worse prices, under time pressure, in a country you may not be in.

Bali Furniture Shipping is an independent shipping concierge, not a carrier or licensed customs broker. Freight and clearance run through vetted licensed forwarders, and the destination customs entry is filed by the appointed broker — so you always know which leg is ours.

How quoting and booking work

Per-CBM pricing

How a per-CBM quote is priced

Furniture moves by cubic metre, not weight, so the quote prices the space your pieces fill. There is no minimum — LCL starts from 1 CBM — and a multi-item load is its CBM count times the band. A 1.2 CBM armoire and a 4 CBM bedroom set are quoted on the same logic.

If your load approaches roughly 12–15 CBM, a 20ft container often works out cheaper per unit; the quote flags it rather than let you overpay for consolidation.

Rate ledger · 2026

Indicative bands behind every quote

LCL door-to-door — Australia USD 350–450 per CBM 4–8 weeks
LCL door-to-door — USA / EU USD 400–550 per CBM 6–12 weeks
20ft full container — Indonesia to USA ~USD 2,500–4,500 6–12 weeks
40ft full container — Indonesia to USA ~USD 4,000–7,000 6–12 weeks

Indicative as of 2026 and subject to change. Your written quote confirms scope once pieces, volume, pickup points and delivery address are known.

Hidden costs

Why cheaper quotes often cost more

The gap between a headline rate and the landed cost hides in three places.

  1. 01Crating. Under ISPM-15, wood packaging thicker than 6 mm must be heat-treated to a 56 °C core for at least 30 continuous minutes (or fumigated), then marked. Australia’s DAFF applies this to crating, pallets, dunnage and cases alike; skip it and the shipment is at risk at the border.
  2. 02Destination duties. The US de minimis exemption for Indonesia was suspended in August 2025, so every US shipment incurs duties and customs processing, plus Lacey Act (phase VII, from 1 December 2024) and TSCA Title VI paperwork: CBP entry, ISF and a Lacey declaration. The EU expects ISPM-15 and, for Indonesian teak, SVLK or FSC documents.
  3. 03The last mile. Port-to-door delivery, unloading and storage all cost money; this quote builds them in.
