Door-to-port stops at the destination seaport; from there you hire a broker, clear customs and truck the furniture home yourself.

Choose door-to-port only if a broker and trucking already wait at the other end. For most tourists and expats, door-to-door is the lower-stress route.
How it is priced
What sits inside the price, and what does not
LCL is billed per CBM from 1 CBM; a full container is a flat band.
Duties and taxes sit outside the freight price — they are government charges paid by the importer. For the USA, the de minimis exemption for Indonesia was suspended in August 2025, so every commercial shipment now incurs duties and customs processing regardless of value.

Crate and paperwork
ISPM-15 and the documents each route needs
The crate protects both furniture and clearance. Under ISPM-15, solid wood over 6 mm is debarked, heat-treated to a 56 °C core for 30 minutes or fumigated, then marked on two opposing faces; Australia’s DAFF applies it to pallets, dunnage, crating and skids. Crating in Kerobokan keeps this step close to the showrooms.
US wood furniture falls under Lacey Act phase VII (from 1 December 2024) and TSCA Title VI, typically needing a CBP entry, an ISF and a Lacey declaration. The EU applies ISPM-15 and is tightening timber-legality controls; Indonesian teak commonly relies on SVLK or FSC papers.
